These are the pictures of Saturday’s Great Wheel class. The students were taught to use the ” one handed-long draw” to draft while turing the wheel with one hand. The Great Wheel is a well designed production spinning wheel made for the spinning of wool into yarn. The wheels in this class were made circa late 18th early 19th century and with some repair and/or restoration spun quite well for the students.
