3 Students from 2 different states arranged some weeks ago to come to Central N.Y. and the weaving center for an immersion session with the 18th century looms.
They chose the times and days, and are currently here having completed day 1.
Day 1 began early with a tour of all of the period equipment and recently completed yarn from the wool project.
Then we sat down and planned out each individual project, bringing the required threads to the warping boards and mill to be measured and chained.
Following the chaining of three warps, we began the proecess of beaming on the warp, ending the long day with a warp ready to be threaded in the morning.
Pictures to follow and updates on the remainder of the intensive.
